I sat at the library for a long time yesterday. For a part of the time I was flipping through a book of photographs. I don't remember who this one was by, but it was of Sinead O'Connor (sp?) It looked pretty and I wanted to draw it. . I haven't drawn for a looooooong time and this seemed like an OK place to start. I just wanted to give my pencil a run across paper and I wanted to see if I could do it. .
There is not much likeness here, but then again I wasn't going for likeness. Is that bad? I wanted to hit the shapes and shadows..and the pose was lovely.
THis is beautiful work, especially for a sketch. The pose is nice, and it's really hard to do the shape of a human skull well (which is why it's easier to draw people with hair...). I really like the facial features, also, especially the nose.
Very nice bizy.. I got some works in my book that I would soon like to have you help me with.. That damn romantic inspiration, gets me everytime. I realy enjoy the lines of your set up. It has a very raw feeling to it that I feel adds to the complex expression that this compostions origin contains. it makes sence to me.
Very nice facial rendering...love the attention to detail paid to the features, especially her lips and ears. However, her cranium does seem a little elongated. Nice job overall though.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
